Build 1.3 Gundam RX-78-2 (FINAL)
The arms will bend at the elbow in both directions. It will swivel above the elbow joint. Its hand is fixed as with all SDs (except the new SDX range) and it can rotate at the wrist. As you can see the shoulder joint can move up and down in one direction away from the hips and can rotate as the shoulder joint.
Legs is a little bit stumpy but i like its stumpiness. It can rotate 360 degress and its feet can fold inwards and thats about it.
Looking underneath the bottom torso, you can see where the legs join to. Very restrictive in terms of range. I dont really like this.
The bottom torso then connects to the upper torso with this peg. So obviously its upper torso can do the 360.
Just like the power rangers. All parts coming together to form...
the armless mega robotic dragon duo!
Overall opinion: I love this SD. Feels very cube-y or box-y or compact? There are other SDs of the RX-78-2 but this new release looks so much better. I am just glad I had the colours to paint it.
Build 1.2 Gundam RX-78-2
"oi! what about me"
This is Gundam Aegis SD BB #261 Released in February 2004. My 2007 Christmas gift from Teresa. Not much to comment about her except that she's a mutant. Now as a reminder the Gundam RX-78-2 BB #329 was released in July 2009. So its about more than five years so I am curious to see what improvements Bandai (the company that makes these robots) have made.
I think i prefer cute gundams to the bigger ones. Colouring in the panel lines doesnt take long and not too many parts to put together. However, I have bought a big gundam... and Im not really looking forward to that one. Might just sell it, anyone interested in purchasing a Master Grade Gundam Astray Blue Frame Second Revise?
Plus I have three more cute little gundams that I bought last year and stored in a safe deposit box. I will be retrieving them as well. So at least this blog will remain for as least 4 more robots.
Head and upper body complete. I really like how this robot is looking like. Lots of detail. (6 parts for the head and 4 parts for the upper body).
Comparing shoulder articulation. To be fair Aegis was build the way it is because it transforms into a spacecraft as its gimmick. The RX-78-2's articulation is unusual as it is not a ball joint and I initially thought the pegs was part of the backpack so I coloured it :P but this type of joint gives it more degrees of movement.
So in a gym training session with Joe Tong, only the Aegis will be able to do chin ups whereas only the RX-78-2 can do Incline Flies
In case you didnt know. I love the gym!
and lastly is the gun with scope and shield which i forgot to take a picture of so thats why its included last. Like I said before, I love how this is coming together! This robot will give more poses and it has a bigger head too!

Build 1.1 Gundam RX-78-2
This is my Christmas gift from a great metrosexual friend. Thanks Nat! Good luck in your quest for love! Note: Click on the pics to see them bigger.
Gundam RX-78-2 BB #329. This is the 30th anniversary edition of the 1979 anime classic mobile suit gundam. Note: I am not an expert gundam reviewer/modeler and I didnt know this for a fact, Information is courtesy of google.
To be honest... I've never been a big fan of gundam. If I like something, I will get mesmerised by it and then get bored of it by the next weekend. But I wont go all out and get 300 gundam robots like this guy or this girl. Note: I religiously visit their websites and I idolise them! I reckon that these two should get married and have lots of little gundam kids.
There in the corner of this picture is my shiny golden nintendo ds, making its debut appearance as a paper weight. What is that you say? Oh well, if you insist, I'll show off my shiny golden ds
Shiny isn't it? I was planning to showoff/blog about how I modified the shell. But it took me 4 bloody hours to change the shell and taking photos in between will probably add another hour. So click here for step-by-step photos and watch this foreign man's youtube showing you how its done. Out of the hundreds of videos and how-tos... I reckon these two were the most helpful.
All cute gundam sets are easy and fast to put together. So if you want to waste AUD20 and got 45 minutes to spare. Get yourself one of these toys!
